My name is Heather Cairncross. With my private singing pupils, I have had great success in solving technical vocal problems. My teaching is based on re-connecting the voice to efficient breathing, eliminating tension habits and encouraging a natural, healthy sound. As I am also skilled in all aspects of performance, I can offer a great deal in coaching and encouraging performers of all ages and preparing singers for auditions and concerts.
The heart of my teaching is developing and maintaining a sound technique and therefore enabling a singer to attempt all styles of singing without causing damage to their voice. As I am still working at a high level within the music industry, I can also offer pupils a great deal of highly relevant, current, professional knowledge.
